When travelling to Edmonton I always choose to stay at Metterra on Whyte. It's an excellent value - the rooms are modern and very comfortable, the staff is very friendly, the items in room and wine tasting add value.
Here's a nice hotel, clean, comfortable and out of the ordinary. Great place to meet and very close to the University. A great place to unwind or connect with others. Highly recommended for business or pleasure.
As many other reviews have said, Metterra Hotel on Whyte is conveniently located on Whyte within walking distance of lots of shops, restaurants, and bars. Even then, Metterra Hotel on Whyte also gives you plenty of reasons to stay in, with the complimentary wine and cheese tasting (with generous pours), breakfast buffet, and fitness center (which I promise I'll get to try next time but probably won't), and a friendly staff. We booked the fire and water room and loved having both a fireplace and bathtub (with jets!). I'll be looking to stay again when I find myself in Edmonton again.
